RANGERS slipped to their first defeat in 12 European fixtures this season after leading three times in Moscow against Spartak.
They led 3-2 at the break after an own goal and strikes from wingers Daniel Candeias and Glenn Middleton and might have been further ahead but for a linesman’s flag ruling out Alfredo Morelos just before half time.
However a second half turn around from the home side meant Rangers would travel home from Moscow with nothing to show for their endeavour on the back of a 4-3 defeat.
